Sea Dubai the water sports festival takes place in December of each year and it is one of the most important marine sports carnivals in the region as it attracts the attention of water sports fans in global and local arenas. The festival hosts final rounds for the Class 1 World Powerboat Championship and the International Canoe race, as well as traditional sailing races, which takes its share of attention in the great festival. His Highness Sheikh Majid bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, patron of the event officially launch the festival during the prize distribution ceremony of the 2008 season stars and it marked the beginning of events that have been organized Mina Seyahi.

Launching the award is a symbol of his Highness Shaikh Majid bin Mohammad bin Rashid Al Maktoum continuous support to Emirati talents and providing them with opportunities to excel in the media sector given the vital and imperative role that this sector plays in portraying Dubai’s image in the global scene. The award aims to stimulate creative energies of emerging media talent in the UAE.

His Highness Sheikh Majid bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum is a passionate equestrian, and an avid follower of this particular sport. With direction from His Highness to launch the Majid bin Mohammed Horse Marathon initiative, organized by the Dubai Equestrian Club in the Dubai International Endurance City; he has shown his enthusiasm and full support towards this sport since it has been associated with our heritage and culture, and is considered one of the most prestigious sports worldwide; His Highness also feels that this value should be embedded into the future generations and encouraged to pursue it further.

The aim of this Marathon is to promote this traditional sport and to raise an interest on the folklore and traditional sports in UAE among the younger generations. This event organized by Dubai Camel Racing Club at Al Hibab Camel Racecourse.

This Initiative launched to perform Umrah with parents in collaboration with the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Humanitarian and Charity Establishment. The aim of this humanitarian and social initiative is to urge children to accompany parents or one of them to perform Umrah.
